Celebration and Custom Cakes Ordering Policy

Please read this page entirely before ordering or picking up your cake.

Contacting Me

Please remember we do not answer or check our business number after hours. If you call after hours, please leave a message, or call again during regular business hours. Due to the volume of calls and texts I receive, please allow up to 48 hours for a return call or reply to messages, emails, or texts. I will return all calls, voicemails, and text messages in the order they are received. Thank you for understanding!

Contractual Agreement

Your signature or payment on your contract establishes a legally binding agreement between you and Cake Palate Designs, LLC. Cake Palate Designs, LLC reserves the right to decline to provide our goods or services to a customer. It is our policy to comply with all applicable state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination in employment based on race, age, color, sex, religion, national origin, disability, or other protected classifications.


Due to Federal Copyright Laws, I cannot freehand or recreate licensed characters, copyrighted materials, trademarks, or logos without the express written consent from the owner intellectual property laws prohibit this. I do offer options, however. I can design a cake that fits your theme more generically, and you can also increase the star power of your cake by using character candles or figurines. I also use bakery kits, the same kits grocery stores offer. We do not stock the kits we place special orders with a 2-week lead time. Otherwise, rush shipping charges apply. We can provide cashless transactions through PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit cards, all major credit cards, Zelle Pay, CashApp, or Venmo. No personal checks! Payment in full is still subject to the cancelation and refund policy.

Based on availability, we prefer a minimum of 14-day notice for all custom work. A 50% deposit and a signed contract are required to hold and confirm all custom cake orders over $75 (excluding online orders). The remaining balance is due ten (10) business days before the pick-up or delivery date. If less than ten (10) days before being picked up or the delivery date, the balance is due in full. Orders under $75 must be paid in full when ordering. We book quickly on weekends and holidays. Please plan for all custom orders. 

Although we may discuss the details of your order, if you do not pay your invoice, I do NOT have your order confirmed and planned on my calendar. Should someone else contact me to book the same date; and pays their invoice, your order is null. You must communicate with us should there be an issue with you making an immediate payment. Otherwise, you run the risk of losing availability. If you book an order for a certain number of guests and later determine you ordered too much, I will not refund the difference. At my discretion, I may offer a store credit with adequate notice of the downsizing, but not a refund. I reserve time for every order based on the size and complexity of the design and require payment to cover that time.

Alterations or Special Requests

All details for your cake must be provided at least one week before the date you plan to pick up your order or at the time of booking if ordering with less than one-week notice. Any changes to the order size, style, or cake flavors, the change must be no later than ten (10) business days before pickup or delivery. Any changes requested after the signing of the contract cannot be guaranteed and may be subject to additional charges. In this instance, a minimum $25 Rush Change fee will apply. This fee compensates for the time and materials used for your order and the change request. Orders submitted with insufficient details are subject to cancellation if the complete details are not confirmed, and the deposit or payment remains nonrefundable. Last-minute orders (within 48 hours from the date of pickup) are final when placed and can not be changed.


Once your payment or deposit is received, if you cancel a cake order before it is delivered or you or your designee pick it up, there is no refund. You have 48 hours to cancel a payment for future credit after paying in full or a 50% deposit. 

Store Credit

If there is an issue after you have paid for your order, I will give you store credit as follows:

  • If you cancel a celebration cake at least a week before the scheduled pick-up day, I will credit 100% of the purchase price toward a future order.

  • If you cancel more than 72 hours before pick up but less than a week prior, we deduct 50% from the credit.

  • If a celebration cake is canceled less than 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up day, there are NO REFUNDS.

Same Day Orders 

I understand that life happens. For those last-minute moments, most cakes and pound cakes can be ready within four (4) hours without the customization, and payment is in full. I do not guarantee nor confirm an order without payment received. Grab-and-Go Cakes are two-layer 8-inch round cakes in chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry with buttercream only. Below is the timeframe for most cakes:

  • Ready in four (4)+ business hours: Grab-and-Go cake and dessert cakes (pound cakes and loaves).

  • Ready in 48+ hours: Celebration cakes, Grab-and-Go cakes, two-tier cakes, and some of the cake designs shown on the website Gallery page.

  • Ready in 7 days: Some custom tiered (excluding bridal or groom cakes), cut-outs, shaped, etc. (but limited by current orders, place your order as early as possible).

  • Ready in 4+ Weeks: Wedding cakes might be available depending on the date. Please call to confirm if you need something sooner.

Rush Fees

At my sole discretion, for custom cakes at the last minute, we might be able to get you worked into the schedule. Often this requires someone to handle an increased workload. Therefore, a $50 rush fee applies for custom orders with less than four (4) days' notice. 

Edible Images

Depending on the quality, lighting conditions, and colors of your photos the edible image may not print out correctly. We cannot determine how the photo will appear on an edible image. If you intend to place a sizeable edible image order, I suggest ordering one edible image in advance to determine the quality.

You must send your image fully edited in a .JPEG or .PNG file that includes the size of the image and how many images per page. You can create .JPEG or .PNG files in PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Publisher, or Microsoft Paint/Paint 3D. Microsoft Word Documents, PDFs, or other file types not listed above are not accepted. 

We recommend setting your page with the following parameters to ensure the picture will entirely fit on the page 7.5x10. The image you send is the image we will have printed. We do not edit or adjust your image. 

Some very light images may not show up, and some smaller images may not print clearly. There are no refunds or returns on edible images due to the nature and sensitivity of the item. 

We reserve the right to reject any order based on (but not limited to):

  • Copyright & Trademark infringement.

  • Lacking image quality such as low resolution or pixelated images.

  • Explicit content includes (but is not limited to) explicit language, hand gestures, and graphic violence.

  • Please contact us by phone, text, or email if you are unsure if your image requires approval for printing.


Pick-up is scheduled at the time of ordering Monday through Friday from 8 AM - 6 PM CST or on Saturdays from 9 AM - 12 PM CST unless other arrangements are scheduled in advance. I will gladly accommodate certain holidays, weekends, or Sunday orders, but a minimum $25 service fee will apply to the order. If you cannot make your scheduled time, please call to reschedule. If you do not call in advance to reschedule your pick-up time and are late, a late fee of 15% of the total order cost (excluding taxes) will apply and is due in full before we release the order. 

When you or your designee picks up your order, it is considered “Accepted”. Accepted means that you, the client (or your designated party), has looked at the item and was satisfied with it. Upon collecting your cake, modifications can be accommodated for an extra fee if they were not specified in your initial order. Should any decorations deviate from your order specifications, we will promptly rectify them.

No Call, No-Show Orders

Any no-call, no-show order is forfeited, and there will be absolutely no refunds, future credit, or date changes under any circumstances. Order(s) may be donated to charity or resold at the discretion of Cake Palate Designs, LLC. If you paid a deposit, we will resell the item or give back to the Tulsa community by donating to a charity or shelter. 


Deliveries in-state or out-of-state 

Scheduling delivery services are on a first-come basis and are made on the date and time specified on your order form. The delivery time if requested, will be confirmed two (2) business days before your event date. Please ensure that you provide updated contact information and an alternate contact person and number if I need to notify you of any situation that arises or occurs. If the delivery address changes after the order has been confirmed additional charges may be added to cover extra mileage.


You must provide clear driving directions to agreed-upon delivery locations, given that Google Maps or other GPS applications may not be accurate. Please be sure someone is onsite at the time of delivery. If there is no one on hand to receive the order, we will wait 30 minutes maximum before leaving. Once someone becomes available, a late delivery charge of $50 will be due immediately before the order is released.


If we leave the premises unable to deliver the cake, you or your designated representative will be responsible for picking up the cake from our location. A late delivery charge of $75 will be due immediately before the order is released. We close daily at 8:00 PM Monday through Friday, at 6:00 PM on Saturdays, and are closed Sunday. Any order not picked up by the close of business is forfeited, and no refund, future credit, or date changes are permitted under any circumstances. Order(s) may be donated to charity or resold at the discretion of Cake Palate Designs, LLC. There are NO REFUNDS or future credit given that I attempted to deliver the cake. A delay in Cake Palate Designs, LLC transit shall not constitute grounds for a discount or refund.


Cakes may be set up 1-3 hours before your event. For outdoor events, I try to set up as close to the reception time as possible, which may limit design options. The minimum delivery and setup rate is $15.00 to $75.00 in the Tulsa metro area. Outside the Tulsa metro, it is the $15.00 to $75.00 fee plus $0.62 per mile from my location to the delivery address. Roundtrip charges apply for all Celebration and Custom Cake deliveries within the State of Oklahoma. Out-of-state deliveries will be calculated at a flat rate. You must include delivery when your order is secured by full payment or deposit. Please note that some cake designs may not withstand a long drive time for delivery.

Shipping - at this time shipping is not offered 

Shipping is available for some menu items except for celebrations and custom cakes, tiered, bridal, or groom cakes. I will not ship that level of sophisticatedness due to the fragility of the cakes. Please contact us by phone, text, or email to discuss this option before placing your order. ​


Shipping Orders are shipped nationwide to all 50 states (including HI and AK) via USPS, UPS, or FedEx. I currently do not ship outside of the U.S., but I may cross borders someday! There is a $40 minimum for shipping orders. I schedule all my orders to ensure your treats are never in transit longer than two (2) days. All of my orders ship with one of the following options; Priority Mail Express, FedEx Ground, FedEx Home, FedEx 2Day, FedEx Standard Overnight, or FedEx Priority Overnight.*Additional shipping fees may apply to overnight or express services.

FedEx Shipping Methods

Standard: One of my least expensive shipping options. Ships out with either FedEx Ground, FedEx Home, or FedEx 2 Day. In transit for 1-2 days and will arrive by the end of the day (usually by 8 PM) on the arrival date selected.

Expedited Shipping: Ships out with one of the following options; FedEx Standard Overnight or FedEx Priority Overnight. In transit for one day and will arrive by 8 PM on the arrival date selected.

Priority: Ships out with FedEx Priority Overnight. In transit for one day and will arrive by noon on the arrival date selected in most locations; by 4:30 PM. or 5 PM in remote areas. To find the arrival time please visit

Saturday: Ships out with either FedEx Home or FedEx Priority Overnight for a Saturday arrival. In transit for one day and will arrive by 8 PM on the arrival date selected.

Sunday: New! Shipping with FedEx Home for a Sunday arrival. In transit for 1-2 days and will arrive by the end of the day (usually by 8 PM) on the arrival date selected. Sunday arrivals are available for select zip codes only. You can enter your zip code at checkout to find out if Sunday arrival is available in your area.

Monday: New! Ships out with one of the following options: FedEx Ground, FedEx Home, Standard Overnight, or Priority Overnight. In transit for two (2) days and arrives between 12 PM and 8 PM on the arrival date selected.

Order Tracking

Shipping orders: I will send you an email with the order tracking number once your order has been processed. You can click on the tracking number, and it opens to a page where you will be able to track your order and watch your treats take their journey. I will also keep you up to date by sending updates on when your order is out for delivery and when it is delivered. Please allow up to 12 hours after placing your order to see tracking information!


The details of your order are very important! Please review your contract to be sure everything is correct. If you find a mistake, please let us know immediately. Upon visual inspection of the order and its departure from the premises or delivery, the customer or designee approves the visual appearance, waiving any right to a refund based on the style, design, or visual appearance. All refunds are issued exclusively in the form of store credit. Cash refunds are not available unless explicitly indicated. Cake Palate Designs, LLC retains exclusive authority to decide on the approval of cash refunds, which will be issued through the original payment method. Refunds will be processed strictly within seven (7) business days and are non-negotiable under any circumstances.

Your Responsibility and Transporting Cakes

All cakes and cupcakes are kept in a refrigerator and will be cold when you pick up your order. It allows for a means of better and safer transport. We recommend you keep them stored in a refrigerator until about two to three (2-3) hours before serving.

  • Please drive carefully, keep the cake or cupcakes on a flat surface in your vehicle, and keep it in a cold climate.

  • DO NOT PLACE YOUR CAKE OR CUPCAKES IN THE CAR SEAT! It is NOT level or flat! Doing so will cause the cake or cupcakes to slide and be damaged.

  • DO NOT leave the cake or cupcakes sitting outside for any length of time, even for a party. It will melt and can melt in less than 20 minutes in warmer temperatures. Store the cake or cupcakes at an optimal room temperature of 73 degrees Fahrenheit or below.

  • DO NOT leave your cake or cupcakes in the car while running into the store for balloons or other items, even if it is 50 degrees outside! If the sun is out, the inside of your car is likely much warmer, and the frosting will melt!

  • DO NOT place your cake or cupcakes on the counter near your stove, and turn it on to cook food! Although keeping many types of cakes or cupcakes at room temperature is perfectly okay, the heat or the moisture from the stove will cause an increase in the room temperature, and the frosting will melt and fall apart!

  • DO NOT place in a sun-lit area when left on a table or counter, in a climate-cooled room. If sitting in direct sunlight from a window, a cake or cupcakes will get too warm and melt over time.


Damaged Cake Repairs

If you bring a cake back to us, we may be able to repair it; you will incur a minimum $50 repair charge. Depending on the extent of the damage, the original cake may not be suitable for repairs and may need replacing. In such instances, additional charges will apply. After-hours repairs are at my discretion and availability. Please call us and take pictures to send showing the damage, so we can ascertain whether or not we will be able to repair it for you.

If you discover a major mistake in flavor after leaving with the cake (at the time of cutting), please call immediately by phone. No text or email notifications will be honored. We want the opportunity to correct our mistake. If we provide you with an entirely incorrect flavor, you will be refunded or credited for the portion of the remaining cake with the wrong flavor. It must be half of the cake or more. **Note, if you book an order without providing a cake flavor, the default flavor will be vanilla. There will be no refund or store credit for this issuance.**

Please be advised that in the event of a refund, the cake must be declined to receive the refund. We strictly adhere to a "take it, or leave it" policy, whereby retaining the cake precludes any possibility of a partial refund. Kindly note that any costs incurred for cake replacement are not within our responsibility. All refunds are issued exclusively in the form of store credit. Cash refunds are not available unless explicitly indicated. Cake Palate Designs, LLC retains exclusive authority to decide on the approval of cash refunds, which will be issued through the original payment method. Refunds will be processed strictly within seven (7) business days and are non-negotiable under any circumstances.


Our Promise to You

We promise to do our best to provide you with the absolute best-tasting and best-looking cake for all orders. Our custom orders are made with the Secret Ingredient and are baked with the utmost care and precision.

*We reserve the right to change prices at any time without further notice. If you have already signed your contract and paid your deposit, your contract rate will be honored. Quotes remain valid for the timeframe indicated.
